Chinese New Year Celebrations

On Friday 13th, we celebrated Chinese New Year.

The morning began with a variety if activities that included :-

a chopstick cahllenge

designing menus

batik wall hangings

chinese lanterns

dragon masks.

Everyone had the chance to use their chopsticks at lunchtime with it taking a little longer for some.

In the afternoon, it was time to set the dragon free with it taking to the streets of Talgarth.

A well deserved rest, Talgarth Mill.

We were very lucky to be visited by the MWCO (Mid Wales Chamber Orchestra) who taught us a song (Baba Yaga)
and dance (The Ballet of The Unhatched Chicks.)

Class 2 worked very hard to learn this song and dance and then went on to perform in Theatre Brycheiniog.
